The Registration for the 2010 OLE General assembly to be held at Kigali/Rwanda in October is underway.

The 2010 General assembly of Open Learning Exchange (OLE) is scheduled for 11th to 15th October 2010 at Kigali/Rwanda.
The theme of this year’s OLE general assembly is “What Works? Exploring Scalable Approaches to Quality Universal Basic Education with Marginalized Children”. Organizations and Participants from around the globe working to promote and or having interest in promoting Quality Universal Basic Education with marginalized children are invite to attend.
For early registration and detailed information please visit http://ole-assembly.eventbrite.com/.

The upcoming assembly shall reflect on effective and scalable Quality Universal Basic Education (QUBE) approaches not only faith based programs because the challenge to reach out to millions of underprivileged children by 2015 is a high priority and requires evidence-based and cost effective practices that scale and fit the learning and teaching needs of all children. Cost effectiveness is an important issue; we thus need to examine the return on different QUBE investments and compare different approaches to achieve the same goals and measurable quality.
In light of the above considerations, the 2010 General Assembly of the Open Learning Exchange will address the following critical issues:
1) What do we already know about scaling quality education with marginalized children?
2) What are we learning from studies and research already underway that promise to increase our understanding of what works well for learning.
3) What more do we need to know about cost/effective ways to scale quality education with all marginalized children and how will we learn these things?

The general assembly shall also offer to participants an opportunity to share experience and to visit 2 Schools using OLPC at Kigali/Rwanda.
